I enjoyed watching the historical documentary in all time being because it reminds me of what we have and where we come from. Being a living person in this century who has the chance to glance back a little of our past and get to witness those lively stories is such a big pleasure for me. But as a human, or said, as a lively human being, most of us don't know how to live our own life. And what I am going to recommend is Human, a production of Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
If I have to rank this film by special effects, it really deserves nothing. But when the first scene appears in the very beginning of the film, you will definitely be amazed. Throughout the whole film, there is just people talking about their stories in front of a black screen. No filming techniques are shown but every scene is beautiful and real enough even with a random pause.
There are people from different races, background, gender, age group, religion, places talking about their own stories. Some of them are crying, some of them are smiling, and some of them are just remaining silent.
What is love? What makes us happy or sad?
Raining, drinking milk, staying with someone she loves so much make her happy.
Seeing her children come back to home and kiss on her face make her happy.
Having electricity at night make him happy.
Buying a motorcycle with his own savings after so many years make him happy as well.
Being happy is so easy because it comes from every single thing in our life; being happy is so difficult because many of us do not even know what it is.

His daughter was shot by the army when she was 10 and he lost her in the tragedy. But he never wants to revenge or kill them for any reason. "They said I have no rights to forgive them in her name, but I also don't have rights to revenge in her name. I won't kill them because it cannot bring my daughter back, it will just cause another pain."
Every one of us in this world has a different story to be told. We may speak to each other with different languages, believing in different faith but we are all human - we can feel the love in the same way, we smile in the same way and we live as a human in the same way. Knowing our self as a human is just the first step to build up a harmony society and what makes this so important is the message that the director wants to deliver from this film - We are human, we must do something humanity.

回复删除We all seek happiness and try to avoid suffering. We have the same basic needs and concerns. All of us human beings want freedom and the right to determine our own destiny as individuals. That is human nature.
回复删除True happiness comes from a sense of inner peace and contentment. Remember, no matter what part of the world we come from, fundamentally we are all the same human beings.
